The ING New York City Marathon is a premier event and one of the world's greatest road races, drawing more than 100,000 applicants annually.
The race attracts many world-class professional athletes, not only for hte more than $600,000 in prize money, but also for the chance to excel in the media of the world before two million cheering spectators and 315 million worldwide television viewers. As any one of the more than 700,000 past participants will attest, crossing the finish line in Central Park is on of the great thrills of a lifetime.
Global CDH was offered 5 entries and generously gave one of those spots to The Parker Reese Foundation. Together we will help spread awareness for 26.2 miles.
On November 7, 2010 Lindsay Culpepper will run for The Parker Reese Foundation. She will be 1 of 5 members that will help make up Team GCDH. Our goal is to raise $2500 that will go towards raising awareness for CDH and genetic research through DHREAMS {Diaphragmatic Hernia Research & Exploration, Advancing Molecular Science}.
